Homeschooling In Florida
I have parents getting in touch with me telling me stories of their child coming home crying, scared and/or so completely stressed out about the standardized testing that they are a emotional wreck. Some of the parent’s stories are about their 6 year old!
Parents tell me how their child is being bullied and abused at school and their child was so embarrassed or ashamed about it that the child did not tell the parent until weeks, even months later. Some times the bullying is by the teacher, emotionally and verbally, sometimes even physically.
Some of my students have told me this year that a teacher in this school pushes and pinches them. One boy said that she often pushes/hits him and pinches his ear. He said he pushed her back. It is tough when you have so many students and especially at the teenage level. Some of the well mannered teenagers get influenced into becoming rude and obnoxious to the teachers when they would not usually.
I highly recommend home education. I cannot express how important I think it is to do the academic studies with your children yourself.
