Hernando County, Florida Homeschool Help with Annual Evaluations

I do a lot of annual evaluations in Hernando County, FL. A test is not required for the annual educational evaluation for homeschooling in Hernando County, or anywhere in Florida.

I do annual evaluations for all “grade levels,” K thru 12th grade. Showing and/or determining a grade level for a home educated student on the homeschool annual educational evaluation is not required, by Florida law.

I do exactly what parents want. If the parent wants a standardized test, if the parent wants to show a grade level, if the parent wants the evaluator to fill out the county annual evaluation form, etc. I will, and do! No test is required. No forms are required. No grade level, nor are certain subjects are required to be taught at certain ages, by Florida home education law. It has been difficult for me to believe all the freedom we have homeschooling. And even with ALL the freedom we have as homeschooling parents/directors, I will do exactly what parents want me to do; forms, grade levels, standardized test, portfolio review, etc. It is the parent’s (homeschool director’s) choice, completely!

The requirements for homeschooling in FL are very simple, and are very few, actually.
