Florida Homeschool – HELP!
When I registered my daughter and the school placed her in a class they immediately looked at the ADHD label on her records and said she needed a “special” class. The school personnel did not give her a placement test or anything similar. No assessment or examination of any kind. She was instantly called a trouble maker. She was 7 years old.
Because of my work we are traveling across the country this summer and we plan to be back too late for school. Besides, we see our child is being slowed down in his classroom situation anyway. I want him to excel, as I see and know he can. We are going to home school.
Both of the previous scenarios are of parents and their 7 year old children, one a girl and the other a boy. The most common situation is with junior high and high school parent’s, and they feel stuck (as many parents seem to feel). Their children have been “ruling the Roost” for so long, they say, “stuck” doing what their children want and what they say.
